Refunds & Cancellation
What you are entitled to, and who can actually action it
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Your 14-day right to change your mind
If you are a consumer in the EU or the EEA, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase, under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. That is a legal right, not something we grant case by case.
One caveat we would rather state than bury: for digital services that start immediately, that right can end once the service has been supplied — if you asked for it to start right away and acknowledged that at the time. In practice, if you subscribed and then changed your mind, ask anyway. We would rather refund somebody who did not get value than argue about a clause.
Where to ask, depending on how you paid
Google Play
Google is the seller for purchases made in the Android app, so refunds go through them. Request one from your Google Play order history. If Google declines and you think it was wrong, write to us — we can review it on our side.
Apple App Store
Apple is the seller for purchases made in the iOS app, and Apple handles these refunds itself — we are not able to process them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Directly from us
If you were charged by JaenWorld OÜ rather than by a store, write to and we will handle it. Tell us the email on the account and roughly when you were charged.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund the period you already paid for, and it does not cut you off early — you keep everything you paid for until the end of the billing period you are in.
Cancel from your store subscription settings (Google Play or the App Store), not from inside Jaen — the store holds the subscription, so that is the only place that can stop it.
Your data is not deleted when you cancel. Your baby's care log lives encrypted on your own device and stays there. If you want it removed from our servers as well, that is a separate request and it is your right — see GDPR.
If we cannot agree
JaenWorld OÜ is registered in Estonia. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you can take it to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon), or use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform. Neither costs you anything to use.
