How does the free trial work?
New subscribers get their first 7 days free — the full app: live audio & video, sound and motion alarms, remote viewing, the soother. As a new subscriber you pay nothing today, and nothing at all if you cancel before the week ends. The store decides who counts as new: on Google Play, a Google account that has subscribed to Jaen Babymon Pro before is charged from the first day, with no free week.
What happens when my trial ends?
Nothing to do — your subscription simply continues, with no break in monitoring. If you cancel during the free week instead, you drop to the free tier: monitoring on your own Wi-Fi keeps working in three-hour sessions, while remote viewing and co-parent sharing stop until you subscribe again. Your settings and history stay on your device either way.
What does it cost?
Google Play shows the exact price for your country, with your local tax already included — that is the amount you are charged, and it is the only figure we would trust ourselves to quote. There is a monthly plan and a yearly one, and the yearly one costs less per month. New subscribers get seven days free first; cancel anytime.
What is free, and what do I pay for?
Monitoring on your own Wi-Fi is free, in three-hour sessions, along with every alert and alarm, the night light, talk-back, the sounds library, the sleep and feeding logs, the development guide and the watch apps — and you can export your care log at any time. Paying removes the session limit and adds watching from anywhere, co-parent sharing, notifications when the app is closed, cloud backup, and the long-term history — every night’s sleep on one chart, the week at a glance, and the growth curve.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — in your store subscription settings: Google Play, or the App Store if that is where you subscribed. The store holds the subscription, so it is the only place that can stop it; Your plan on this website shows it but cannot cancel it. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling never deletes anything — your settings and history stay on your device. When the paid period ends, free local monitoring keeps working, in three-hour sessions. How do I get help, or report something broken?
Email info@jaenworld.com — questions, billing, bug reports and beta feedback all land in the same inbox and go straight to the person building the app. Jaen Babymon is an awareness aid, not a medical or vital-signs device, so please keep your usual safe-sleep routine.
How private is the video?
Every stream is end-to-end encrypted. At home, your devices connect directly peer-to-peer (P2P WebRTC) — nothing touches the internet. When you watch remotely, the encrypted stream passes through our relay, but it stays encrypted the whole way — we can’t see your baby.
Will I get woken up by false alarms?
Sometimes — no monitor can rule that out. Sound and motion alarms measure loudness and movement, not what caused them, and a sustained-duration gate means a brief noise or a passing shadow won’t set them off. A sound that is loud and lasts — a TV, a vacuum, an older sibling — can still raise an alarm, so you can choose a gentler sensitivity and a longer duration to suit your room.
Can both parents and a sitter watch at once?
Yes, with Pro. Invite multiple caregivers — both parents, grandparents, and a trusted sitter — and everyone gets alerts on their own phone.
What payment methods do you accept?
Pro is bought in the Jaen Android app through Google Play, which handles payment, renewals and refunds. The website does not take payments.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. As long as your phone and the baby unit are on the same Wi-Fi, monitoring works fully offline on your local network. Watching from outside the house needs an internet connection.
