How to delete your account
In the Jaen Babymon app
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. That step is required on purpose — it is what stops somebody who picks up your unlocked phone from erasing your child's records.
On this website
- Sign in and open your account security page.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Email us from the address on the account and we will action it. We may first ask something only the account holder would know — an unverified deletion request is itself a way to attack somebody.
What happens, and when
Your request takes effect immediately: you are signed out and sign-in is blocked from that moment.
The data itself is destroyed after a 7-day grace period. That delay exists for exactly one reason — so an accidental or malicious deletion can still be undone. During those 7 days you can cancel from the confirmation screen, or with the single-use link in the email we send you.
After 7 days it is permanent. We cannot recover it, and neither can you.
What is deleted
- Your account, email address and name
- Every baby profile and the whole care log — sleeps, feeds, nappies, growth measurements and notes
- Baby photos you added
- Cribs and rooms you set up, and their labels
- Co-parent links, invitations, and anything shared with you
- Registered devices, push registrations and sign-in sessions
- Sign-in history and known-location records
- Feedback and bug reports you sent us, including any attached screenshots, which are unlinked from disk
What is kept, and why
Invoices and payment records are kept with your personal details stripped out of them. Estonian law requires us to retain accounting records, and we cannot delete those on request. What survives is the transaction, not you.
Nothing else is retained. There is no recording of your baby to delete: live monitoring is a direct encrypted connection between your own devices, and audio and video are never stored on our servers.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete everything to delete something.
- Remove one child.In the app, delete a baby and then permanently purge it. That destroys that baby's entire care log and leaves your account and any other children untouched.
- Stop syncing. Turning Cloud Sync off stops any further data leaving the device.
